Campaign to Abolish Statutes of Limitation on Rape and Sexual Assault (CASOL) is the nationwide effort to end reporting time limits for sexual violence.

We seek to address the many ways our legal system couples with society to silence survivors and shield predators. It can take survivors years to report sexual violence due to fear, stigma, and victim blaming.

Time limits on prosecuting rape are a rapist's best friend and a survivor's worst nightmare.

By activating a national cross-disciplinary coalition of organizations and activists with expertise in anti-violence, women’s rights, criminal justice reform, and human rights, we will train and develop emerging leaders and provide resources to activate local, grassroots campaigns to support legislative efforts in the states where a barrier to reporting exists for survivors of sexual violence.

Rape and sexual assault are serious crimes, and survivors should have every opportunity to report whenever they feel comfortable breaking their silence.
